Dr. Vincent Patanio

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Patanio obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts -Amherst in 2008. He went on to pursue his DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated in 2012. Dr. Patanio completed a one year rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists, and was immediately hired on as an emergency doctor.  In April 2015, Dr. Patanio joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at Northstar VETS where he worked prior to launching Vetmetis Veterinary Services.

Dr. Patanio has myriad interests and hobbies. When not at work, some of the things he enjoys are spending time with his wife and children, hiking, backpacking, fishing, tying flies, and playing the drums…to name a few.

Melissa Beck, DVM

Dr. Melissa Beck has lived in the Monroe Township area for the past 14 years with her family and a multitude of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and fish. Dr. Beck obtained her BA from Goucher College in 1995. After graduation she spent two years working in the veterinary field and then went on to earn her DVM from Oklahoma State School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

When not at work Dr. Beck enjoys spending time with her family and exercising. Some of her favorite activities include running, road cycling, walking her dogs, and weight training.

Brianna – Lead Technician

Brianna has been working in the veterinary field since 2016. Cutting her teeth in the industry as a receptionist, Brianna quickly transitioned from receptionist to veterinary assistant to veterinary technician. Brianna has been working at Vetmetis since we opened our doors in 2019. She is currently enrolled in an online program through Penn Foster College to earn her certification as a certified veterinary technician. Her passion for animals began at a very young age and this love grew stronger as she got older. Brianna loves spending time with her daughter and two rescue dogs, Lani and Dakota.

Diane – Veterinary Assistant

Diane served Monroe Township Police Department as the dispatch supervisor for several years. She started working at Vetmetis in the summer of 2021 as a veterinary assistant. She has proved to show her eagerness and determination to further her skills and knowledge in the veterinary field every day. Diane has always been a huge animal lover and her passion for helping them is undeniable. She has 4 adorable fur babies, Mikayla, Kiya, Hazel and Brynnley.

Caleigh – Veterinary Assistant

Caleigh has only recently started her veterinary journey. In 2020 she enrolled in an online program at Ashworth College to earn her certification as a veterinary assistant. Being passionate about animals since childhood, she knew this was the appropriate path and started working at Vetmetis in 2021 as a veterinary assistant. After receiving her certification, she hopes to start a veterinary technician program to further her education. At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband, watching movie marathons, cooking and gardening. She has 3 cats and 1 dog.
