Vincent Patanio, DVM
Dr. Patanio obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts -Amherst in 2008. He went on to pursue his DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated in 2012. Dr. Patanio completed a one year rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists, and was immediately hired on as an emergency doctor. In April 2015, Dr. Patanio joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at Northstar VETS where he worked prior to launching Vetmetis Veterinary Services.
Dr. Patanio has myriad interests and hobbies. When not at work, some of the things he enjoys are spending time with his wife and children, hiking, backpacking, fishing, tying flies, and playing the drums…to name a few.
Melissa Beck, DVM
Dr. Melissa Beck has lived in the Monroe Township area for the past 14 years with her family and a multitude of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and fish. Dr. Beck obtained her BA from Goucher College in 1995. After graduation she spent two years working in the veterinary field and then went on to earn her DVM from Oklahoma State School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.
When not at work Dr. Beck enjoys spending time with her family and exercising. Some of her favorite activities include running, road cycling, walking her dogs, and weight training.

Jen, Manager/Lead Technician
After many years in specialty veterinary medicine, Jen made the transition to wellness and urgent care. She prides herself in treating all patients like they are her own pets. Recently transitioning into management has been a natural progression where Jen's leadership skills can shine. As a retired competitive Brazilian jiu jitsu athlete and coach, Jen spends her free time with her husband, horses and rescue pitties.
Anthony, Assistant Manager/Technician
Katie, Technician
Katie is from Edison, New Jersey and recently attended and graduated from Manor College in Pennsylvania. She passed her VTNE, receiving her veterinary technician license and began working in the field soon after. Katie loves meeting all the different patients that arrive at Vetmetis. Personally, she has 3 cats at home, falling in love with the feline species instantly when she entered the veterinary world. In her free time, she enjoys listening to new music, doing embroidery, yoga, and spending time with nature and friends.
Diane, Technician
My name is Diane and I have always had a passion for animals. I have retired as a 911 supervisor from the Monroe Twp Police dept and also now work part time for Monroe Twp Fire District 2 in Fire Prevention. I am so happy to be back at Vetmetis to continue my passion working with animals. I love spending time with my own 3 dogs at home who drive me crazy but I wouldn’t have it any other way !!
